Millerite Mandala

This is my very first large Mandalapattern and I must admit that I am immensly proud! I actually made the Swedish pattern already in August 2021, but as a fulltimeworking mom of two boys it’s been hard fo find time to translate the 40 rounds to English and proofreading etc. But now! The time has come!

The yarn I’ve used in the pattern is FIKA from Gicona. It’s an absolutely gorgeous cottonyarn that you can buy at Favoritgarner.se: Here (check out my other blog yarnimia.wordpress.com where I write about different yarns and give my opinion about them, there will be a post about Fika sometime in December). If you scroll down you’ll see the Millerite mandala using different yarns.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Here is the (free) pattern in English (US terms):

And in Swedish:

Below is my favourite, I just love the colors. I made it in Catania, very similar to Fika, but I think Fika is of better quality. (Fika comes in 136 colors!).

This one is made with Scheepjes Whirl:

This is made with Scheepjes Sugar Rush monunted on ring so it hangs on the wall in my craftroom:

This one is made of Scheepjes Softfun:

(Oh, the name, Millerite. I know a lot of you like to hear the story with the name but I really must admit. 99 % of the times I really struggle coming up with a good name for my designs. I wanted a kind of intricate name as the pattern is a bit intricate-looking. I googled for an hour, also controlgoogled to make sure the name wasn’t used for other crochetmandalas. I found this name when googling ”minerals”, i liked the sound of it and it was taken. 🙂 It was as simple as that. But in my head it will always just be called ”My mandala”.)

This is a free pattern, but I’ve spent a lot of time, energi and love writing it, so please treat it with respect. If you post pics of your finished objects from my patterns on social medias, I’d be happy if you tag me (Annimia77 on Instagram) and refer to this blog for the pattern, thanks.
