Har fått dille på smårutor och småhexies på sista tiden, ju mindre desto bättre (ända tills det är dags att fästa alla trådar så klart). Rutor är verkligen toppenprojekt när man har lite restgarner och spontant vill börja något utan någon egentlig plan.

Denna kudde har jag gjort av två varv av farmorsruta per ruta, 49 rutor (7×7) för framsidan och för baksidan: 2 bitar med 28 rutor i varje (7×4). Sytt ihop med osynlig söm och sen virkat en gul kant av halvstolper runt varje bit. Sen har jag virkat ihop med svarta fastmaskor som jag därefter täckt av kräftmaskor.

Garnet jag använt är Pingo Douceur 4, 1 nystan var i färgerna Chanvre, noir, etain och minerai för rutor och soleil för den gula kanten (finns HÄR hos Favoritgarner.se) och Pingo Arlequin, 1 nystan av Gravier (som också finns hos Favoritgarner.se HÄR) och virknål 4,0 mm.

Kudden blir ca 40×40 cm stor. Det är så klart helt ok att virka ihop delarna efter hand, men jag ville inte bestämma färgordningen från början, utan bestämde det när jag virkat klart alla.

På baksidan satte jag fast 6 knappar, jag gjorde inga knapphål utan klämde igenom knapparna i befintliga ”hål”

So I’ve been almost obsessed about small squares and hexies lately. They’re so much fun (ok, at least until it’s time to weave in all the ends), and perfect for scrapyarnprojects.

This pillow consists of two rounds of solid squares. 49 squares (7×7) for the front and 2 pieces for the back, consisting of 28 squares each (7×4). I sewed the squares together with invisible stitching and then I made a yellow border around each piece of double crochet. I crochete the three pieces together with single crochet and then crabstithed around and ”on top of” the single crochets.

Yarn I’ve used is Pingo Douceur 4 (1 ball each in colors Chanvre, Noir, Etain and Minerai for the squares and Soleil for the yellow border, which you can find HERE at Favoritgarner.com and 1 ball of Pingo Arelquin, color Gravier,(Also at Favoritgarner.com, check it out HERE). I used hook 4,0 mm.

The pillow is 40×40 cm big (or actually it’s pretty small :)), but with more yarn, it’s no problem making it larger. And you can of course crochet the squares together as you go, but I didn’t since I wanted to decide the colororder when all the squares were done.

I put 6 buttons on the back, and I used natural holes instead of actually making buttonholes.
